Furniture Receiving
Every item we receive into our receiving warehouse is carefully managed.
We are equipped to receive oversized items that require a forklift, dock or lift gate.
We have received crates up to 15ft in length weighing upto 5,000lbs.
Furniture Inspection
We meticulously inspect every item for any flaws, damage, or imperfections.
Our goal is to identify any issues early on, ensuring that only undamaged items arrive at your clients home. During inspection all packaging is removed. Items are checked for functionality. IE; drawers are opened, doors checked for smooth closing.
If damage is detected, we capture detailed photos of each impacted area, along a image pinpointing the damaged location.
In the event we identify furniture damage, we contact our client to advise them to file a claim with the furniture vendor or shipping company.
Storage & Security
Items that pass the inspection process are typically repackaged in the original packaging. Otherwise, we blanket wrap the furniture to shield it from scratches or other potential harm.
We then apply shrink-wrapping for additional protection.
Once inspected and wrapped, the furniture is given a custom bar code before being placed into storage.
Our facilities are monitored by a 3rd party monitoring station 24/7. Smoke, freeze and intruder alarms are standard in both our Truckee and Reno warehouses.
CCTV also captures real time events.
Post-Inspection Communication
Our clients have access to our online portal and can login at any time to check that the status of their items.
Upon receiving, if any item or furniture is damaged, our clients will be notified by email directly from the warehouse so they can file a claim with the vendor immediately.
Claim Support & Repair
In case any damage is discovered during inspection, DesignBar will assist in providing the correct documentation for filing the claim.
If the furniture is repairable, we will obtain a quotation that can be submitted to the vendor for approval.
